Who We Are

The Rollins Center for Language & Literacy is a professional development center founded in 2004, with the singular purpose of breaking the cycle of illiteracy for children who have been denied access to educational opportunity. Rollins does this by extending the science-based instruction received by each child at the Atlanta Speech School to every child through facilitation and coaching in regional schools and, on a global scale, through the free online Cox Campus.

The Rollins Center's Cox Campus was founded in 2014 following a generous grant from the James M. Cox Foundation. Cox Campus is an online learning platform aiming to provide free and open access to equity-based, IACET-accredited Science of Reading coursework, content, and professional learning across the learning continuum – prenatal through literacy. Through continued support from national and local philanthropic partners that are committed to access and equity, including the Rollins Family, the James M. Cox Foundation and the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation/Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation, Cox Campus provides literacy resources to more than 250,000 members across all 50 states and in more than 80 countries globally.
